ACA International
ACA International is an international trade organization of credit and collection professionals that provide a variety of accounts receivable management services. Members must agree to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility as well as a Code of Operations. Members must agree to comply with all applicable laws, including the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In addition to prohibiting harassment and abuse by collectors, this legislation provides proper procedures for obtaining consumer location information, communicating with consumers and disclosing that consumers have the right to dispute the validity of a debt.
Michigan Association of Collection Agencies
The Michigan Association of Collection Agencies is the state of
Michigan’s equivalent to ACA International, but concentrates on
the concerns that face agencies in our home state.

Receivables Management Association
Receivables Management Association International (formerly DBA International) is the nonprofit trade association that represents more than 550 companies that support the purchase, sale, and collection of performing and nonperforming receivables on the secondary market. RMA member companies work in a variety of financial services fields, including debt buying companies, collection agencies, law firms, originating creditors, international members and industry-related product and service providers. RMA provides its members with extensive networking, educational, and business development opportunities in asset classes that span numerous industries.
